Acupuncture works to help maintain your body's equilibrium. It involves the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body to regulate the flow of "Chi", your bodys vital energy.

Many people receive acupuncture for help with specific symptons or to releive specific pains like osteoarthritis of the knee. Some use acupuncture because they feel generally unwell but have no obvious diagnosis. Others simply choose acupuncture to enhance their feeling of wellbeing.

Acupuncture is considered suitable for all ages and it can be used alongside conventional medicine.

The acupuncturist will firstly build up a picture of your health and lifestyle and use this information to make a diagnosis and put together your personal treatment plan.

The number od sesions you need will depend on your condition. You are usually seen on a weekly basis and you will start to feel a change within 5 or 6 treatments.
